I cannot believe that you are so upset Mr Worried. Anybody would think you were Mr Taylor or Mr Culyer!

Like most decent magpie supporters I have always dreamt that one day Dereham Town FC would be good enough to get promoted to a higher level of football. Rob Taylor and his crew have done a great deal over the last couple of years to make this a possibility. They have got together a team who at last are not fighting off relegation each season and are capable of staying in the top half of the league table. To go further however, the Club has to spend MONEY. This is something that DTFC has not got!! The team urgently needs a proven goal scorer to put away the numerous openings created by the lads in every game. This will not be achieved without paying out good money. DTFC has not got a big benefactor who pumps money into the \Club every season so they have to make do with what the Corporate side of the Club brings in. I for one will be sorry to see the Management Team go - if they have actually been dismissed and this is not just another windup!!

seems a strange decision considering the way the team has improved since they took over. Normally there is something behind the scenes that nobody knows about!

I cannot believe that this has happened! So they have missed out on the final of the NSC this year.....is this really a big enough excuse to get rid of the management after all they have done for the club???

Obviously hit a raw nerve with my comments earlier, sums this club up!Far to many back stabbers who haven't got the bottle to stand up and express there comments always doing it behind peoples back!Think the club needs to sort the committee members out first as there is to much dead wood involved and there not interested in the footballing side of the club which should be number 1 priority! The sacking of Taylor & Culyer is a joke, they obviously upset a certain someone up above!!!Maybe he's the one who should be going!

OMG! I hope the committee havent made a hasty decision in getting rid of Mr Taylor....probably the best manager Dereham could have had the pleasure of??? Perhaps it was because the management were contract free n were the easiest to get rid of first! Who will be next???

Dreamer suggests we need to score more goals. Whilst I tend to agree to some extent, I think the defence has been dire of late. On Satureday we scored 3 goals at home ( should have been enough ) to a team a couple of divisions below us, only to concede 4. Let in 4 against Diss, scored 5. Scored 3 at home to Harwich ( should have been enough ), let in 3. I and everyone else know we need another striker ! how about a new defence ?

Should my information be serving me correctly.....the monies were unavailable to bring in new stock, so to speak. Understandably the management were probably dumbfounded at this and the mere mention to go over figures was totally out of the question! I wonder why

This site has been dead the last 6 months and only when you sack the management do people come to life?
Managers come and go and it may not be to everyones liking, but it's done. so maybe you should be coming up with ideas on who you want in and what new targets you want DTFC to achieve.
first priority must be to steady the ship and make sure the players are kept together and are comfortable to the idea of a new manager, but may take a while to find someone appropriate.
Who ever takes it on has got a great bunch of players, and with some new ides and a different approach, could help DTFC finish of the season in a strong posistion.

The reason people are responding to this site as fans of DTFC are gutted at todays news. Taylor's management skills were second to none and it is in fact the board that needs sacking as most of them are stuck in the 1990's. Dereham needs to move forward and upwards and cannot do this while the "old geezers" are watching their pennies. Dereham could and should be for the size of the town a massive club but we must not be scared to move with the times. And PS thank you to who posted the first thread of the day couldnt have said it better myself!!!

Well, well, well ... I wonder who you are Shakespeare indeed! - just female intelligence You have already got rid of the best management team for DTFC, so apologies for not coming forth with any new ideas! I'm sure you will realise your mistake in time, its whether or not you have the balls to admit it! The committee needs a shake up!
