I don’t know what I can add to a crowded message board; but from the whispers heard Robert had lost the team some weeks ago. I know what’s said in the room stays in the room but
The timing could have been better so soon after Sheringham begs the?
Timing was also probably an issue with the other Managers interviewed – I can guess at one and would have thought that he would have wanted to finish his season out before moving.
Now we have a playing managing captain promised the job full time if he does a good job!
As to the Committee as ever they are comprised of 3 types, one wanting to do the best for the club that they love investing huge amounts of time foc (I wonder how many of you would do the same) the second because they love the feeling of being involved if only from the side lines and the third started of in the 1st group but now stay for habit and probably because the elections are usually uncontested?
To those that moan get involved
A thought to Robert, thanks for what you have done and good luck!
As to the permanent appointment – I can only hope it goes to an experienced, mature successful local lad who has the desire and the talent to take the club forward, but the club had that chance twice before? Suggesting experience was needed – how times change!

Heres an idea!
How about backing the team and supporting the new manager?
Keep the club going?
Forget about taylor?
He's gone.
That's that.
Support who's there now and keep the club alive for the boys.

8-)ok all you whinging tossers come along to Aldiss park on Saturday, IF you are actually club members, make yourself known to the Chairman and offer your unsurpassed talents to the club, as committee members. I am sure he would accept your offers gladly as you obiously know everthing there is to know, about the club already. (you think). Then you could take on the job of aquireing more sponsors to generate the all important readies needed. Oh but you've got that in hand already havent you? SO HERE'S YOUR OPPORTUNITY TO GET INVOLVED instead of spouting unsubstantiated crap !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Totally agree with u fullocrap what is done is done. This pass 6 weeks have been a mess on the pitch, with only a lucky win at Diss the only highlight.we need a change of direction,as for the club not supporting RT he got the biggest budget ever a DTFC manager has had.As a football club we have underachieved this season throwing points away. Come on lads lets go for it.

Well people keep going on about the budget and that rob had the biggest any manager has ever had been given but when at the start of the season the chairman comes to you and tells you what budget is available to spend on players then half way through the season with rob knowing what each player is on so therefor knows what the monthly outgoings is,only to be told he is overspending by the chairman when quite clearly he wasn't?Now one would like to know where the rest of the monthly budget was being spent? With the chairman in charge of paying the players i always wondered why he was always keen to offer free drinks out!!!!!!!!!!

Can't believe some of the content of the posts towards the Chairman Simon Barnes and the club and can see why our forum went members only. It cuts out all the abuse which most of this thread contains.
Thought I would post as the club and it's many good people need support at this time not a club divide which this forum has shown.
From my perspective which is impartial RT was relinquished of his duties for whatever reason by the clubs committee 10-1 which as at all clubs is elected at an AGM to act on behalf of the club.
Any member can go and say or vote with their feet so abusive posts don't really do any good.
But RT did do a fantastic job during his 3 year stint that cannot be taken away from him.
The Chairman Mr Barnes I know works hard for the club and has Derehams best interests at heart so there are reasons for RT's departure I am sure. Ignorant posts only shows a lack of internal club knowledge and a personal inability to do rather than say.
Knowing the Barnes family for many years they have put in a tremendous amount of work and do it for Dereham FC and not for any personal gain.
I hope that all true Dereham supporters, fans, committee members and players realise that they have the best facilities in the Ridgeons league and should rally round at this point.
Good luck to Simon Barnes and his club and Gus for the rest of the season.
From all at Sheringham FC

sheringham supporter this forum is great its all a bit of banter to help us get through a tough time like this. we are all big enough to take what is written light heartedly and laugh it off. so if you would leave us alone your club has done enough damage to our season so let us have some fun. i thank you please. ;D

I really think that this is getting old now. Its been 5 days! The first team won today, the reserves won today and the A team won today, so it looks like the club is surviving well without Rob and steve. Well done gus and all the lads on the first, reserves and A teams. So now its time to move on and support the lads becasue they all earned it today!

I was at the match today and had discussions with fans, players and Committee members. Everyone I spoke to was behind the Club. Robbie Harris was there shouting the players on even though he has now transferred to Corby. Whatever has been said on this forum, the Club is in good shape. The Committee made a decision - not an easy one - but it has been made. If the players are not up in arms about Robert Taylor moving on then the fans should get behind the players and give them their support for the rest of the season. RT took Dereham Town to a new level in their Premier League status and has to be applauded for this. However, Dereham Town FC is not one person. Its the team that performs every week , so get behind them. It would also be good to see members signing in and posting under their member names and not as guests

I am 14yrs old and I am disgusted at the way this situation has been handled! I thought DTFC would have at least given Mr Taylor a proper reason for getting rid of him! Without him there will be no DTFC. Its because of him that they r where they r today! We'll soon see.
