Midweek Fixtures

OK, I know that you can't please eveyone all of the time. I also know that posting a message on here carries very little weight with the Club and that I should really address this posting to the Committee. Nevertheless ...

Why do we play so few games in midweek? In most seasons. we have no midweek games between November and March. Looking at this season's fixtures list I see that we have no more midweek games this year (the Easter Monday game doesn't count !). I'd willingly give my 50p for the electric meter to keep the floodlights on if we were to play a few more midweek matches. How about it?

Fixture dates are, generally speaking, determined by the Leagues in which we compete. Whilst there may be some latitude to move matches, e.g. from a Saturday to the preceding Friday evening, this has to be agreed to by our opponents.

Fair points, chaps! Nevertheless, the odd midweek game would be very much appreciated this time of year if the chance arises.
