Good to see dereham get through to the next round. The first half was fairly even but the visitors took the lead. Stroppy Taylor must have said his bit at half time and we come out second half to score three goals and win 3-1. Brendan Foley, Nicky Howell and Andy Moody scored the goals. The visitors hit the woodwork a couple of times, not through good chances, just by trying their luck from distance. The more the game went on the more Dereham looked by far the better side. Overall a good performance and a bit more wedge for the club. Well done boys. Baz looks good standing with the fans. Lets get on it.

It was also good to see and here the fans applauding the goals and the players when they were substituted. The team will gain in confidence if they get support from the fans. Not just when they win though. lets get behind them all the way and show them that we want Dereham Town FC to be a club that we are proud to support. Well done today lads.

After last nights result at Soham, i reckon our next match will be a bit harder than the previous round. If our lads play to their full potential though they have the ability to proceed further

Well we did it!! I am glad to say that this was, in my opinion an easier game than the last round, mainly because of our increasing standard of play. Well done lads. Needham in the next round though !!

:Dwow what a game against needham market.the boys where brillant, they showed the good away support passion and commitment and skill with 3 well work goals. the score did not reflect the true nature of this match, with needham scoring from 2 dodgy free kicks that should have gone our way.everybody played there part and where outstanding but the 2 centre backs for me just edged the man of the match. great to see wrighty having a good 80 minutes.bring on wroxham next saturday and then the next round of the cup on the 30th sept, another away day i hope.

Well we have a home game in the next round. Chelmsford City are in the Ryman but it is not beyond Dereham to get past them. We need to drum up some support for the game. Remember the noise we made against Durham a couple of years ago in our 2-2 draw. We need to get the drummer and horn blowers back behind the lads for this one. Put the word out. We can win this one!

I don't always agree with Bravehearts comments but I think he's got a point on this one. When we used to get good gates such as the days of the Durham game it made a world of difference. The atmosphere created by the 'barmy army' often spurred the boys on, got us through and quite often intimidated the opposition. Ralphy, Ross, Mercer and all the rest of the DTFC supporters really were a great help to us and still can be a great help to the current team, so let's get the word to them to get everybody up there again for the Chelmsford City game. It could be a great day and a good excuse for a p*ss up. Ralphy, do your stuff.
John Fox.

To Essex Robbo,
Keep talking up your team. Here at Dereham we have nothing to lose. You are the big boys waiting for a fall. We are just a little old Norfolk football team who have a passion for the game. We may not have the calibre of players you have, we may not pay the big wages that you do, we may have players who can't move ( just you wait and see!) but what we have is team spirit. Our young team play for each other and as a unit. Be afraid Chelmsford - be very afraid. Remember Sunderland v Man Utd in the Cup!! Bring as many supporters as you can - we need your money! Just be prepared to go back down south as losers!!!!!!!
