Sheringham are top of the Anglian Combination Premier league and have only let in 15 goals in 20 league matches. They will definitely be no push over, in fact I reckon they will put up more fight than Norwich United. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. Nevertheless if Dereham play to their own full potential they will get to the final. If they take things easy though they could be in for a shock.

Well done the Magpies. 2 down after 25 minutes but showed their superiority in the end. Respect to Sherringham though as they made us play. Bring on Wroxham !!!!!!!!!!

Superiority? Ha, don't make us laugh. The only reason you won that game was coz Sheringham were down to 10 men for 60 minutes. Just remind us what the score was when it was 11 men each. You've got a quality side but don't milk a scraped win against 10 men from 2 divisions below you. You wouldn't find us doing that if we done the same against an Ang Comb 2 side I can assure you.
Good luck in the final, but hope to see you again next season when maybe we can keep 11 on the pitch and question your 'superiority' over the full 90.

I THINK BRAVEHEART MEANT TO INSERT THE WORD 'MAN' IN FRONT OF SUPERIORITY. UNTIL THAT MOMENT WHEN WE HAD OUR DEFENDER SENT OFF IT WAS SHERINGHAM THAT WERE IN TOTAL CONTROL OF THE GAME. YES MAYBE DEREHAM MIGHT HAVE FOUGHT BACK EVEN IF SHERINGHAM HAD KEPT TO 11 ON THE PITCH BUT THAT, YOU OR I CAN ONLY GUESS AT. WHAT IS APPARENT WAS THAT THERE SEEMED NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE GREAT GULF IN LEAGUES. SHERINGHAM SHOWED THEIR ILLUSTRIOUS HOSTS A LESSON IN FOOTBALL UNTIL THE SENDING OFF. SO BEFORE ANY FAN DECIDES TO WALLOW IN THE GLORY WHICH THE SCORELINE CLEARLY SHOWS WITHOUT REALLY GIVING A FULL DESCRIPTION OF THE GAME,PLEASE BEAR A THOUGHT FOR UNLUCKY SHERINGHAM WHO WERE ONLY 33 MINUTES FROM CARROW ROAD. I WISH DEREHAM ALL THE BEST IN THE FINAL.

At the end of the day it doesn't matter who took the lead, who was in control of the game, whether Dereham would have won if Sheringham had 11 players. Dereham are in the final and Sheringham aren't. I don't understand how Sheringham have conceded so few goals also. The standard in the Anglian comb. must be very poor.

FOXY, YOUR OBVIOUSLY THE FORUMS WIND UP MERCHANT WITH GREY TINTED GLASSES. ITS YOUR OWN TEAM THAT YOU SHOULD BE WORRIED OUT. FOR 30 MINUTES IT WAS YOUR DEFENCE THAT CONCEDED 2 GOALS AGAINST WHAT YOU CALL POOR ANG COMB PLAYERS. BY THE WAY THE SCORES, ONE OF WHICH PLAYED FOR YOU AND TAYLOR DIDNT WANT TO LOSE AND THE OTHER HE TRIED TO SIGN EARLY SEASON SO I DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR PROB IS THERE. YOUR RIGHT THE FINAL SCORE IS THE POINT BUT IF I WERE YOU I WOULD BE WORRIED AT HOW EASY IT WAS FOR OUR ANG COMB PLAYERS TO BREACH YOUR FRAGILE DEFENCE. IF I WASTAYLOR I WOULD BE KICKING MYSELF AT LOSING GLEAVE. AS TO A WEAK DEFENCE IT HELD YOU LOT OUT UNTIL WE HAD A MAN SENT OFF. SO I DONT THINK YOU SEE THE GAME THE SAME WAY AS SOME OF YOUR OFFICIALS AND SUPPORTERS WHO STATED AFTER THE GAME THAT THEY WERE IN TROUBLE UP TILL THAT SENDING OFF. AS TO YOUR VALUED OPINION, I DONT THINK MANY HONEST DEREHAM SUPPORTERS WOULD AGREE WITH YOURS. GOOD LUCK IN THE FINAL

don't know what our supporters are on about. they mst have been watching diferent game. first half we were not at the races. we will get battered by wroxham if we play like we did yesterday.
sheringham showed weaknesses in our team and proved that we are not as mighty as we think.
our central pairing can be got at as it showed. our strengths are the wide men and down the centre up front.
credit to you sheringham, you played well despite some of the comments on this forum.
good luck to you also in your league title ambitions.

Well what a game, just want to wish you guys all the best for the final, i really hope you win it again. I thought we were gonna go close to causing an upset but unfortunately for us we had a man sent off and that changed the game.
Anyway, as i said well done and good luck for the rest of the season.

Not being negative just pointing out that if we are to brag about as accordingy, to quote in EDP by Dereham manager he doesn't expect to be in Ridgeons League very long with the team he's assembled.....then we must perform better than we did yesterday.
Against them in the first half we struggled. Maybe you think it was perfection but a lot of the supporters were grumbling when we were 2 down.
Winning against an combination side aint no big deal.

No wind up earlier from me. Dereham won. The result is what counts. A good run in the cup is a bonus no matter if you play crap or play well. I think Dereham should be doing better in the league. On paper they are more more capable than their league position suggests. When I said i couldn't believe Sheringham had let in so few goals I meant it, no wind up. I thought Dereham would have had more efforts on goal yesterday from distance. I thought the Sheringham keeper looked very nervy, he wasn't positive enough, he tried to punch every cross that came in and his all round game looked suspect. Possibly nerves of playing in the semi final of the cup. We cannot predict how the game would have ended if Sheringham had 11 men. I think Dereham had enough quality to win and there fitness and skill would have been the key to undoing Sheringham in the end. However, Sheringham battled well and looked dangerous on set pieces and Dereham looked suspect at defending them, must get that sorted. It was good to see a few of my old Dereham chums playing for Sheringham also. They done well. Hope you hang on to your current league position.

totally agree with u foxy on your comments. as for taking this team forward can we all take a step back 2 years b4 rob taylor took over as manger.we had a relegation battle on our hands 06 mid table and nsc ,07 top six ?best ever fa cup run and another nsc final.the squad he has built has an average age of approx 21 if wecan keep this side together i think they can only get better. my personal thoughts is that the side has thrown away about 13 points this season so far which would of made us 5th in the league with 3 gamesin hand overthe top 2.

What a beautiful contradiction 'maninthestands'!!
If the side had 13 more points you'd be 5th eh? How about 25 more then you'd be top!
Or what about if Sheringham had kept 11 players on the pitch?
No, that's irrelevant - 'Foxy' is right, it's only the result that matters.
Damn those 13 lost points though eh?
If If If only.

Bravefart smells of eggs. It wouldn't have mattered if Sheringham did keep 11 men on the pitch. They would still have got beaten cos if the guy didn't handball it then it would have been 2 -1 at that point anyhow and Dereham were then getting themselves going and their fitness was far better than Sheringhams and would have broken Sheringham down as they always create a lot of chances. See you in the stands at Carrow Road or perharps you're not going? ;D

you're right 'sweet dreams', i really do stink. sorry. perhaps you should call yourself 'mystic meg' next time you post though as you seem to be able to predict what would have happened had 11 stayed on for sheringham? very brave that, i wouldn't dare be so bold. as to the final well i guess i might see you there if there's nowt more exciting going on. when is it anyway? please don't say it's not on a wednesday because i quite fancy that longoria bird off dessy housewives and wouldn't miss that for nothing, not even a magpie mauling. oops, did i just say that?
